Covid-19 Information

Covid-19 2022 Update:

We have updated our operating practice in line with government guidance and National Governing Body for Sports (NGB's) for the safety of participants, parents, and our coaching team with the following measures:

What to bring to Camp:

Please bring:

  • A healthy packed lunch with snacks and a refillable water bottle.
  • Hand Sanitiser / Packet of tissue, both will be available on site too.
  • Clothing suitable for sports and for being outside when it is cold/rainy. We aim to get outside for fresh air as much as possible. (Whilst inside, a door will always remain open for fresh air and to provide a constant airflow.)

Please do not bring:

  • Mobile phones, if aged over 11 these must be kept in a bag and not used until the end of the day.
  • Valuables - Watches, ipads, airpods and jewellery.

Drop off and collection

You will be welcomed onsite, outside by the Camp Manager who will sign in your children and pass them onto the coaching team. All booking forms will be checked before Camps start to reduce waiting and communication times.

Staff training

Peak Performance Sports Coaches have all completed a COVID-19 training with WHO (World Health Organisation).

If a child complains of feeling unwell, or a member of staff notices a child is feeling or showing symptoms of being unwell, parents will be notified, and it is expected the child will be collected immediately. Children will be taken to a designated room to self isolate

Increased hygiene procedures

We have increased the level of cleaning of sports equipment, and the common areas such as fruit and water zones. We have a cleaning schedule in place with identified areas being thoroughly cleaned daily.

Cleaning will not disrupt the daily running of the camp; equipment and resources will also be safely available to children.

Admiral Lord Nelson School

We are very fortunate that we can use Admiral Lord Nelson School who provide a safe and welcoming environment for us to deliver our activities from. The school have all the required measures and protocols in place such as outside taps for handwashing, contactless hand sanitiser stations and one way systems.

Displays and reminders

ALNS have displays throughout the facilities that we will be using to remind children to keep a distance and respect other children and staff spaces. There will be frequent opportunities and verbal reminders to wash hands, clean equipment to promote the health and safety of children and staff.
