A Typical Day

A typical day with Peak Performance Sports (PPS)

PPS provides an all-inclusive, fun and engaging programme that nurtures and supports participants to develop their skillset and to evolve their knowledge around health, fitness and nutrition.

This is achieved by PPS creating opportunities for Participants to try new activities, compete against other participants and attend development sessions.

Established in 2010, PPS is well known for building participants self-confidence, developing their current skill level and making life long friends.

PPS Coaches engage with children to develop a unique and tailored programme each day, in consideration of children’s ages, abilities and goals. The aim of sessions is to develop every participant, allowing each individual to thrive.

Although PPS does not offer 1-1 Coaching within this programme, if your Child is currently attending an academy or training programme for a specific sport or goal, please note this at the time of booking and where possible we will adapt our delivery to benefit them, alternatively speak with us.

An example of how PPS has adapted its delivery to develop is with Henry aged 9, an aspiring Footballer. PPS has:

  • Increased his healthy eating by swapping unhealthy snacks less in sugar and contributing towards his 5 a day.
  • Improved reaction times for his goal keeping training programme
  • Improved his confidence.
  • Opportunities to make friends outside of school, Henry is more confident in building friendships.

Rewarding Participants

Participants are rewarded and praised throughout sessions by coaches, verbal feedback is also provided to ensure development, correct technique and skills and being learnt and developed.

Certificates and Medals

Each session starts with the coaching team introducing the days medals that can be won. Themes range from most improved participant, outstanding participant in a specific activity / sport and motiving other participants.

Theme of the day

Each day, groups collectively suggest then follow a theme of the day. This is a group discussion whereby a participant will suggest a theme and then with the coaching team, recognise then verbally reward this to the participant who has demonstrated this theme the most over the the whole day.

* A list of rewards and who has be rewarded is kept each term to ensure everyone has had a fair opportunity to be recognised for their achievements.
